Hi, I'm Rachel, and I'm a stylist at Verde Salon.
What are your favourite services? Why?
As a haircutting and extension educator, those are two of my favorite things to teach. But behind the chair, I really love the intricacy and detail of a haircut and how you can really help shape somebody's face, but also maintain sustainability at home. And then working with extensions is a really great way to give people more fullness, to give them the length that they want, to grow out a haircut, or to add color and dimension to their hair that we may not be able to achieve with actual chemical hair colour.
What can your guests expect from you?
My guests can expect a very relaxing service where they feel very heard and listened to. This is your time and your appointment to just feel calm and relaxed, and I want you to leave feeling confident, but also equipped with the tools to be able to take care of your hair at home.
Why is Aveda important to you?
Aveda is important to me because they are always working with stylists to create high quality products without sacrificing their commitment to the environment, remaining vegan and cruelty-free. Behind the chair, we get a really intimate connection with our guests, and in such a digital age, it's very easy to stay behind a screen, and Aveda has always pushed the boundaries with that by bringing different stylists from all over the world together to collaborate and just creating a really creative hub where we get to express ourselves, but also get to use really awesome products in the process.
What do you like to do in your free time?
In my free time, you can often find me reading a good book, hanging out with my husband and my dog, Frodo.
