How We Keep Our Salon Green
In both of our locations, we’ve taken steps to reduce our carbon footprint in ways Winnipeg has yet to see under one roof. Our goal is not only to use eco-friendly products and practices, but ensure our space is eco-friendly as well! Here are some of the ways we’re keeping our salons green:
High efficiency water and light fixtures
All of our sinks use ECOHEADS showerheads that reduce water consumption — up to 65% — while still delivering exceptional water pressure. You’d never know we’re using less water! Our light fixtures are also automatic, which saves energy by only turning on when someone enters a room, and turning off when they leave! No more accidentally leaving lights on and wasting energy.
Waste is reused, repurposed, or responsibly disposed of
We’re a proud member of Green Circle Salons, an organization committed to reducing global salon waste. As an industry that produces over 150 million pounds of waste annually, we’re doing our part to change and reduce our environmental impact. All of our extra colour, used foils, and empty tubes are responsibly disposed of, and excess hair clippings are repurposed in amazing ways — they’re used to clean up oil spills, and can become beds for animals displaced by natural disasters!
Recycling Program
Did you know you can bring in ANY empty beauty product to our salon, and we’ll recycle it for you? Plus, when you bring in a product, you’ll receive 10% off an Aveda product! That’s what we call a win-win!
